About The Position

We are seeking an economist to join the US Economics team in New York. Economists will write weekly economic research reports for a large global audience, present the team’s economic views to a wide range of clients globally, forecast GDP, the labor market, inflation, and monthly economic indicators. They will also closely follow and forecast US monetary policy decisions and interpret and comment on high-frequency economic data releases.

Requirements

  • PhD in Economics or other strong research experience in markets or at a central bank
  • Strong interest in macroeconomics and monetary policy
  • Experience producing original and ambitious economic research
  • Solid background in econometric analysis, statistics, math, and programming
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team setting
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to handle a demanding workload
