About The Position
Dr. Michael Yip is looking for a postdoc scientist to join his team! This role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, developing new research techniques and protocols, and analyzing and interpreting data. The Postdoctoral Scientist will work independently but in close cooperation and consultation with the Principal Investigator and other Research Scientists. The position also includes participation in publications and presentations, and may involve assisting in the preparation of grant proposals, though not responsible for generating grant funds. Opportunities to observe MD-patient or MD-human research subject interactions related to the research may also be available.
Requirements
- Working independently but in close cooperation and in consultation with the Principal Investigator and other Research Scientists.

Nice To Haves
- Experience in Immunology & Pancreatic Cancer preferred
- Experience in areas of surgical robotics, biomimetic robots, and robot learning – highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Designs and performs experiments.
- Keeps appropriate experimental records and documentation and analyzes the results with the Principal Investigator.
- May develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols.
- Analyzes, interprets, summarizes, and compiles data.
- Performs routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout the training period.
- Operates and maintains equipment and instruments.
- May observe MD-patient or MD-human research subject interactions as it pertains directly to research being performed.
- May assist in the preparation of grant proposals, but is not responsible for generating grant funds.
- May participate in publications and presentations as author or co-author.
