About The Position

This is an ongoing coverage need for a Urologist, providing both clinic and 24-hour call coverage. The clinic operates from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with light clinic duties while on call. Clinic volume typically ranges from 15-25 patients per day, and call volume averages 1-4 calls per night. Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) handle rounding and consults during the day. This position is at a Level III trauma center and serves an adult and geriatric patient population. The EMR system used is EPIC, and credentialing takes approximately 60 days.

Requirements

Active Pennsylvania licensure
Board certification
AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum 2-years Urology experience or equivalent
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
Board certification in Urology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the AOA
Active and unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania
At least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty

Fellowship training in Urology (may be preferred depending on the position)

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat a wide range of system disorders in adults and potentially children.
Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, CT scans and blood tests.
Perform procedures to diagnose and treat digestive conditions (depending on the scope of practice).
Develop and implement treatment plans.
Manage chronic conditions and provide ongoing patient care.
Collaborate with other specialists when needed to ensure coordinated care.
Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
Stay current on the latest advancements in specialty through continuing education.
