Urgent Care Veterinarian - Part Time and/or Full Time
About The Position
Lowcountry Vets at May River is seeking experienced Veterinarians, both part-time and full-time, to join their team as they expand into urgent care hours. This role offers an exciting opportunity to help shape a growing urgent care offering from the ground up. The veterinarian will have input into how the urgent care hours take shape, working alongside a warm, experienced, and highly regarded local team. The position involves providing urgent, same-day veterinary care for pets with acute illness, injury, or other pressing medical needs, diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical and surgical cases, and helping establish workflows, protocols, and scheduling as the urgent care program grows. The veterinarian will also build trusted relationships with clients and the Bluffton community and collaborate with a supportive team of veterinarians and technicians.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD from an accredited veterinary program
- Active or eligible South Carolina veterinary license
- Prior clinical experience required — this role is best suited for an experienced doctor comfortable managing urgent cases independently
- Openness and enthusiasm for helping build out a new urgent care schedule and workflow
- Strong communication skills and genuine compassion for animals and their owners
Responsibilities
