Urgent Care Veterinarian - Part Time and/or Full Time
About The Position
Lowcountry Vets at May River is seeking experienced Veterinarians, both part-time and full-time, to join their team as they expand into urgent care hours. This role offers the opportunity to help shape a growing urgent care offering from the ground up while practicing in a scenic location. The ideal candidate will be excited about building something new, expanding service hours to meet the needs of pets and families requiring care outside standard appointment windows. The veterinarian will have input into the development of the urgent care hours and work alongside a warm, experienced, and highly regarded local team.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD from an accredited veterinary program
- Active or eligible South Carolina veterinary license
- Prior clinical experience required
- Comfortable managing urgent cases independently
- Openness and enthusiasm for helping build out a new urgent care schedule and workflow
- Strong communication skills and genuine compassion for animals and their owners
- Open to both part-time and full-time candidates
Responsibilities
- Provide urgent, same-day veterinary care for pets with acute illness, injury, or other pressing medical needs
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical and surgical cases
- Help establish workflows, protocols, and scheduling as we grow into expanded urgent care hours
- Build trusted relationships with clients and the Bluffton community
- Collaborate with a supportive, experienced team of veterinarians and technicians
