About The Position
DVM Focus is representing a full-time or part-time Urgent Care Veterinarian opportunity in Northeast Florida for a DVM who enjoys the pace and variety of urgent medicine without the overnight schedule commonly associated with emergency practice. This role provides an opportunity to manage same-day and urgent cases while working within a veterinary team focused on accessible, high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree
- Florida veterinary license or ability to obtain one
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced veterinary environment
- Commitment to compassionate patient and client care
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat a varied caseload of patients requiring timely medical attention, including: Same-day illness and injury cases
- Diagnostic workups and treatment planning
- Stabilization and management of urgent medical cases
- Client education and communication
- Coordination of follow-up or referral care when appropriate
- Collaboration with veterinary and support-team colleagues
