•$135,000 - $155,000•Onsite

About The Position

A growing veterinary hospital and urgent care practice in the Rochester area is seeking an experienced Urgent Care Veterinarian to join its team. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys managing urgent and borderline emergency cases but wants to move away from overnight ER shifts. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, with flexibility in structuring the schedule around the right doctor. The veterinarian will focus on same-day care for sick and injured pets, providing diagnostics, stabilization, treatment, urgent surgery, and dentistry. The caseload includes dogs, cats, and exotic pets, including reptiles, birds, and pocket pets. This role offers the opportunity to practice urgent and emergency-focused medicine without the overnight schedule associated with a traditional 24-hour emergency hospital. The practice provides urgent care seven days a week and is not a 24/7 facility. Cases include acute gastrointestinal conditions, dermatologic flares, musculoskeletal injuries, urinary and ocular concerns, respiratory distress, wounds, toxin exposures, foreign bodies, and other urgent or borderline emergency presentations. Candidates should be confident performing surgery and dentistry in addition to managing urgent medical cases. The hospital treats dogs and cats as well as exotic pets and provides wellness, diagnostic, surgical, dental, laser therapy, exotic, and urgent care services.
