Veterinarian - Urgent Care
About The Position
Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our team! In this role, you will focus exclusively on urgent care cases, providing immediate medical attention, diagnostics, and treatment for a diverse range of patients, including cats, dogs, and exotic pets (reptiles, birds, and pocket pets). Your caseload will include stabilizing sick and injured pets, wound care, gastrointestinal issues, respiratory distress, pain management, and other non-life-threatening emergencies. You will also perform urgent surgical procedures such as wound repairs, abscess drainage, and foreign body removals. Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license in the state of New York.
Responsibilities
- Focus exclusively on urgent care cases, providing immediate medical attention, diagnostics, and treatment for a diverse range of patients, including cats, dogs, and exotic pets (reptiles, birds, and pocket pets).
- Stabilize sick and injured pets.
- Provide wound care.
- Treat gastrointestinal issues.
- Address respiratory distress.
- Manage pain.
- Handle other non-life-threatening emergencies.
- Perform urgent surgical procedures such as wound repairs, abscess drainage, and foreign body removals.
