About The Position
St. Francis Animal Hospital is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their AAHA Accredited practice in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is ideal for veterinarians who enjoy triage, same-day and urgent cases, acute illness and injury management, pain control, stabilization, and fast-paced clinical decision-making. The position offers flexibility with either a dedicated Urgent Care role or a Hybrid GP/Urgent Care role, with opportunities to expand hours to include evening and weekend shifts. The hospital is a full-service facility equipped with multiple exam rooms, treatment areas, surgical and dental suites, an in-house laboratory, digital radiology, and an in-house pharmacy. The team is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on high-quality medicine, with a skilled and supportive technical staff experienced in urgent care workflows.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- A valid state license and in good standing to practice
- Comfortable with urgent-care style caseloads, clinical autonomy, and independent decision-making
- Strong general practice veterinarians with a passion for urgent care are encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication skills with a positive, friendly attitude
- A collaborative spirit and a dedication to practicing the highest standard of medicine
Nice To Haves
- Prior urgent care or emergency experience is ideal
- Experienced veterinarian preferred
