About The Position

Reidsville Veterinary Hospital is seeking an Urgent Care-focused Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join their AAHA-accredited, multi-doctor practice in Reidsville, North Carolina. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys the variety of same-day and walk-in cases, and wants the clinical challenge of urgent care without the burnout of overnight emergency shifts. The hospital is open until midnight, providing access to a steady stream of urgent care cases such as trauma, GI upset, and lacerations, within a supported, multi-doctor practice with strong backup and no overnight requirement. While the primary focus is Urgent Care, there is flexibility to blend in General Practice cases or to build a schedule that reflects the mix of medicine the veterinarian enjoys most. The hospital offers advanced services including Urgent Care, General Practice & Preventive Care, Orthopedic Procedures, Reproductive Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, GDV & Advanced Surgical Cases, Integrative Therapies, and Advanced Diagnostics.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent)
• Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in North Carolina
• Comfort and confidence working in a fast-paced, urgent care setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Focus on Urgent Care medicine, including trauma, GI upset, and lacerations.
• Triage and prioritize cases effectively.
• Provide small animal medicine and emergency stabilization.
• Perform veterinary diagnostics.
• Conduct soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
• Manage cases and collaborate with the team.
• Communicate effectively with clients, especially under pressure.
• Engage in professional development and continued learning.
