Urgent Care Technician (EMT) | Onalaska Urgent Care | Casual On-Call
About The Position
Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a casual on-call Urgent Care Technician/EMT to join their Onalaska Urgent Care team. This role involves providing excellent quality care to patients of all ages. The department has 20 patient exam rooms, including procedure and consult rooms. As an Urgent Care Technician/EMT, you will play a direct role in patient care, ensuring a safe environment and promoting recovery. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including physicians, PAs, NPs, RNs, EMTs, health unit coordinators, and social workers. Onalaska Urgent Care sees an average of 100 to 150 patients daily, ranging from pediatric to geriatric. For patients requiring emergent care, staff will stabilize and transfer them to the main hospital campus.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT) or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)
- Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
- Prior work experience in an emergency or pre-hospital setting is required
