Urgent Care Provider (NP or PA)
About The Position
American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a confident, experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their teams in Agoura Hills and Thousand Oaks. The role involves managing the full spectrum of urgent care medicine, including diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and injuries, performing procedures like suturing and wound care, and ordering/interpreting on-site diagnostics.
Requirements
- Active California NP or PA license & Board Certification (NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC).
- Minimum 1 year in Urgent Care, ER, or Family Medicine.
- Comfortable adopting new technologies and AI-assisted clinical tools.
- Current BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a diverse range of illnesses and injuries.
- Utilize hands-on skills in suturing, splinting, I&Ds, and wound care.
- Order and interpret labs and X-rays on-site for immediate results.
- Collaborate with a tech-enabled, high-performing team to ensure clinical excellence.
- Manage the full spectrum of urgent care medicine.
- Take on Lead Provider responsibilities and mentor junior staff or students (opportunity).
