About The Position

Urgent Care Physician Position with National Wound Physician Group. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekends. Physicians become experts in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors, and utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. Our physicians provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states. We provide physician-level wound management training and a wound fellowship, giving you all the knowledge and expertise for clinical excellence. W2 physicians earn, on average, $300,000 per year plus benefits for a 30-hour work week (Part-time opportunities available). Paid Training is provided during onboarding and a 6-month wound care fellowship. This is a mobile practice where physicians visit facilities in a 40-60 mile radius of the practice location, visiting 2-3 facilities per day and treating approximately 20-30 patients per day. Clinical documentation is at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using our proprietary wound-specific EMR. No work visa sponsorship is available.

Requirements

  • Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
  • Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week
  • Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice
  • Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in wound management
  • Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities
  • Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals)
  • Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility
  • Deliver modern wound management at the bedside
  • Conduct clinical documentation at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using our proprietary wound-specific EMR
  • Visit 2-3 facilities per day
  • Treat approximately 20-30 patients per day
