About The Position
Geisinger is seeking a Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine physician with a passion for Urgent Care to join our team at our Selinsgrove location. Geisinger's ConvenientCare+ program is an alternative to the Emergency Department when prompt intervention is needed to treat worsening illness or exacerbation of a chronic condition. Acute care services above and beyond what is traditionally found in outpatient urgent care centers are available for the convenience of both providers and patients.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
- Patient Care And Procedural Skills

Responsibilities
- Provide acute care services above and beyond traditional urgent care centers.
- Utilize telemedicine carts, negative pressure rooms, and continuous vital sign monitoring.
- Perform diagnostics including laboratory and imaging studies (onsite).
- Treat patients requiring prompt intervention for worsening illness or exacerbation of a chronic condition.
- Facilitate direct hospital admissions if necessary from this hospital-based clinic.

- Attractive schedule: 14 rotating shifts/month, no overnight shifts, and no mandated additional shifts
- 12 hour (M-F) & 10 hour (S- S) shifts
- Support staff: Advanced Practice Providers, RNs (available all hours of operation), Phlebomoy, Radiology Techs
- Specialized Equipment: Telemedicine carts, negative pressure rooms, continuous vital sign monitoring
- Diagnostics: X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI
- Hospital Admissions: If necessary, patients can be directly admitted to the hospital from this hospital-based clinic.
