About The Position

The West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an Urgent Care Physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice in Fairmont, WV, with potential assignments to additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, requiring travel. The role involves practicing in Urgent Care, providing excellent patient care, and actively teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The Fairmont Gateway Clinic Urgent Care is situated within a multispecialty clinic offering direct access to specialists and full lab and radiology support. The West Virginia University Health System is the state's largest health system and employer, with significant expansion in specialty care, a multi-organ transplant center, and a new Children's Hospital. The system serves a multi-state region and is anchored by a 700-bed academic medical center in Morgantown. Morgantown and North Central WV are recognized for their lifestyle and business climate, offering big-city amenities in a family-friendly environment.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for state medical license.
• Board certified/eligible in said residency specialty.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
