About The Position

Prisma Health Urgent Care is hiring a remote physician to provide clinical oversight, consultation, and support to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Depending on operational needs, the physician may provide coverage for assigned centers on certain days and may support APPs at nearby centers. Daily coverage responsibilities are separate from formal Medical Board supervising or collaborating physician assignments and may not correspond directly to the APPs named in an individual agreement.

  • Have current DEA registration.
  • Have experience with procedures including suturing and abscess drainage.

  • Demonstrate effective communication with patients, families, and other employees.
  • Provide outstanding bedside manner with children and adults.
  • Have a positive, energetic attitude; a service and team orientation; and a desire to contribute to building and maintaining the organization.

  • Have a desire to serve others and improve community health.

  • Provide clinical direction and recommendations regarding further evaluation, treatment, changes to care plans, follow-up, or escalation to a higher level of care.
