About The Position

This is a locum tenens physician position in Urgent Care, located in Chesterfield, MO. The role involves providing clinical services in an outpatient setting. The coverage period is ongoing, starting October 19, 2026. The shift schedule includes weekdays from 8 am to 8 pm and weekends from 9 am to 5 pm, with 12-hour shifts on weekends. The position covers urgent care, pediatrics, and minor procedures for both adults and children, with an average daily patient volume of 36-48.

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Emergency Medicine (ABMS or American Osteopathic Board only).
Active MO or IMLC license.
BLS certification.
Residency trained.
BC/BE within 5 years of residency.
Minimum 50 patient encounters in the last 12 months.
EMR proficiency (Epic preferred).
Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints).
Comfortable with reading EKGs and X-rays.
Willing to work 12-hour shifts.

Epic EMR proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide urgent care services to patients of all ages presenting with minor injuries and illnesses.
Perform minor procedures including suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, splinting, and casting.
Interpret diagnostic studies such as X-rays and EKGs.
Work collaboratively with medical assistants, radiology technicians, and other support staff.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic EMR system.
