About The Position

A paraprofessional caregiver who works under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse. The position assumes responsibility and accountability for activities of daily living, certain tests and procedures, environmental duties, and other assigned tasks. It also organizes and manages activity at the nursing desk to support the nursing process and patient care, ensuring accurate and timely order entry and proper notification and coordination of the multidisciplinary team.

This is a night-shift position, with hours from 1900 to 0700.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of prior experience as a nurse aide in a health care environment, second-year nursing student status, an active EMT license, or six months of prior experience in a medical setting.
• Current BLS; obtain an AHA certificate within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• PCT certification, CNA license, or EMT license.
• Phlebotomy training with the ability or certification to insert IVs.
