About The Position

We are seeking two Physician Assistants (PAs) for urgent care coverage in Duluth, GA, and Jonesboro, GA. This is an initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension. The reason for coverage is a long-term permanent search. The practice setting is outpatient with low to moderate acuity patient populations, serving all ages. EMR system used is EPIC, and credentialing takes approximately 21 days.

Requirements

Active Georgia licensure
Board certification
AHA BLS certification
Minimum 1-year Urgent Care experience or equivalent
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program
Active and unencunbered physician assistant (PA) license in Georgia
National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
At least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
