The GoHealth Urgent Care Fellowship is a national program accredited by the Urgent Care Association of America. This program has been vetted and approved by the UCA and the College of Urgent Care Medicine for its fully encompassing approach to learning and preparing advanced care practitioners to work in the field of urgent care medicine. The program's goal is to provide intensive, high-yield training to advanced care practitioners with minimal experience in urgent care, enabling them to function independently in the center. This includes didactic material review, case study review, hands-on skills training, and in-center training alongside experienced providers. The fellowship runs annually for 6 months, from May 2026 through October/November 2026, with full-time hours divided between in-center time and didactic time. It includes mandatory weekly lectures, self-learning, research/publishing requirements, and attendance at fellowship-related meetings. Clinical shifts are conducted alongside senior preceptors, with skills labs for procedural training. The fellowship is structured in phases, each with an evaluation. Fellows are evaluated by program directors, preceptors, and faculty, with potential for disciplinary action or dismissal for not meeting expectations. Fellows may be required to float to different centers, potentially requiring travel. They must complete assigned self-study materials, maintain a procedure log, and exhibit competency with required procedures. Performance will also be reviewed based on Go Health's quality metrics and policies, including Net Promoter Score (NPS), attendance, and antibiotic stewardship. Fellows are entitled to full-time employee benefits during the program, and continued full-time employment may be offered upon completion based on needs.
