About The Position

This is an ongoing coverage need for an Urgent Care NP/PA position. The facility is looking for a long-term permanent search. The practice setting is an Urgent Care/Walk-In Clinic with an average of 16 patients per day. The role involves 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 3 consecutive shifts preferred. Overtime is paid after 11 hours. The patient population includes all ages. The EMR system used is EPIC. Credentialing takes approximately 90 days.

Requirements

• Willing to await licensure
• Board certification
• AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 1-year Urgent Care experience or equivalent
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics) OR Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program
• National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP]) OR National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• At least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
• Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
• Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
