Urgent Care NP/PA
About The Position
This is a locum tenens position for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Urgent Care in Wilmington, NC. The role involves providing clinical-only services in an outpatient setting, covering for supplemental needs on an ongoing basis starting ASAP. The provider will be the sole provider in a high-volume setting, treating adults and pediatrics (6 months and up) with an average daily volume of 40 patients. Minor procedures such as incision and drainage, laceration repair, and ear irrigation are expected. The provider will utilize the Epic EMR system and collaborate with on-site support staff and an offsite supervising physician. A positive, patient-centered attitude aligned with FastMed's culture is essential.
Requirements
- Board Certified required
- Active NC license
- Active NC DEA required
- BLS certification
- Minimum 12 months of experience; new graduates not considered.
- Must be local to the area
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Experience treating adults and pediatrics
- Ability to work as sole provider in high-volume setting; strong interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- DOT, PALS/ACLS preferred.
Responsibilities
