About The Position

This 12-month Urgent Care Fellowship, located in Pomona, California, is designed to provide advanced training necessary for a successful career in Urgent Care Medicine. The fellowship combines clinical rotations, didactic sessions, seminars, research, and CME conference experiences. It is a collaboration between Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, the Family Medicine Residency Program, the Department of Emergency Medicine, Vituity, and the Urgent Care Association of America. The fellowship begins in August.

Requirements

• Graduates of an accredited Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Residency.
• Board-Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Eligible for and/or possess current California Medical License.
• Eligible for and/or possess current DEA licensure.

Responsibilities

• Participate in clinical rotations including Orthopedic, ENT, Radiology, ER, and Urgent Care.
• Complete off-site rotations in Dermatology, Ophthalmology, and Dental.
• Engage in other training such as Practice Management, Suture Training Seminar, Ultrasound Course, Pain Management Course, ACLS, PALS, Splinting/Casting Seminar, and a Research Project.
• Focus on advanced training for a career in Urgent Care Medicine.
