About The Position

The UR Tunnel Operator ensures tunnels, dryers, and conveyors run at top efficiency. This role involves correctly and efficiently loading the tunnel, starting and stopping various equipment including water pumps, tunnel washer, press, shuttle, dryers, and conveyors. The operator is responsible for reporting any deficiencies to maintenance, keeping the work area clean of linen and trash, maintaining lint traps and collectors, resolving computer alarms, and maintaining proper levels on tanks.

Be able to identify linen types.
Meet established production standards.

Be able to follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor.

Possess and maintain a positive attitude.
Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies.
Be able to work past the schedule, as production issues may arise.
Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit.
Be able to stand on feet up to 12 hours a day.
Sufficient manual dexterity to complete tasks.
Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, and pulling.

Responsibilities

Ensure tunnels, dryers, and conveyors run at top efficiency.
Load the tunnel correctly and efficiently.
Start and stop water pumps, tunnel washer, press, shuttle, dryers, and conveyors.
Report any deficiencies to maintenance.
Keep work area clean of linen and trash.
Maintain lint traps and lint collectors.
Resolve computer alarms.
Maintain proper level on tanks.
Cross-train in other positions per production needs.
