For this position, the Upper School seeks a thoughtful, energized, and collaborative educator who is comfortable working in a History Department that serves a wide range of learners and offers a diverse range of courses. The teacher needs to feel comfortable working with high school students one-on-one and managing a responsive classroom environment of diverse learners. The position will teach four sections of History. Teachers will teach across a wide array of courses and work to meet the needs of the department each year. Our program includes: Foundations and Skills (9th) 20th Century World/US History (10th) AP United States History 11th and 12th grade teacher-designed electives Upper School teachers are expected to serve as student advisors. In addition, Faculty and staff are expected to contribute to the school community beyond the classroom by coaching or supervising student activities.
