Part-Time Upper Elementary Tutor (Grades 3-5)

The Teacher TutorsLivingston, NJ
$40 - $50Hybrid

About The Position

Teacher Tutors is seeking certified elementary teachers for part-time tutoring roles, focusing on students in grades 3-5. This position is perfect for current or former elementary teachers who wish to continue teaching their preferred age group without the extensive responsibilities of a full-time classroom teacher, such as grading, staff meetings, and lesson planning for large classes. The role addresses the critical learning phase in upper elementary where foundational skills in reading comprehension, advanced math concepts (fractions, decimals, multi-step problems), and essay writing become crucial. Tutors play a vital role in identifying and addressing learning gaps, making a significant positive impact on students' academic journeys. Tutoring sessions can take place in students' homes, online, or at the company's office in Livingston, NJ. The company matches families with tutors based on the tutor's preferred travel radius.
