About The Position

Aug Prep is more than a school, it's a community where excellence, faith, and holistic education come together. We’re not only about high standards but also creating a place where people love to grow, learn, and inspire! We currently serve over 2,400 K4-12 students in our ninth year at our South Campus. We are thrilled to launch our North Campus in the 2026-2027 school year, initially serving about 300 students in grades K4-6 and 9. As a member of our Elementary School team, you will help create a joyful, academically rigorous classroom where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to grow. Our elementary program combines research-based instructional practices with a deep commitment to the social, emotional, and spiritual development of every child.

Requirements

  • A belief in the ability of every child and a commitment to ensure excellence for each student.
  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred).
  • State teaching license not required.
  • Active participation in a Christian church.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Experience using assessment data to inform instruction and differentiate learning for diverse student populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging, student-centered learning environments that support academic excellence and character development.
  • Strong classroom management, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Team player committed to the St. Augustine Preparatory mission and model.
  • The candidate must demonstrate and possess the highest integrity and be able to live the values, beliefs, and culture of St. Augustine Prep.

Responsibilities

  • Hold primary responsibility for the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of your students while recognizing and supporting their individual learning needs.
  • Plan and deliver engaging science instruction aligned with grade-level standards and the school's curriculum.
  • Foster curiosity, inquiry, and a love of learning through hands-on, student-centered instruction.
  • Utilize student assessment data to differentiate instruction through whole-group, small-group, and individualized learning opportunities.
  • Build a classroom culture rooted in high expectations, respect, joy, and Christian values.
  • Serve as a Christ-centered role model by demonstrating integrity, compassion, and God's love in all interactions with students and families.
  • Collaborate with instructional assistants to provide targeted interventions, enrichment, and small-group instruction.
  • Partner with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and ensure student success.
  • Integrate classroom technology to personalize instruction and enhance student engagement.
  • Communicate proactively and consistently with students, families, and colleagues, providing frequent updates on student progress, classroom activities, and school initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively and supportively with colleagues, supervisors, students, parents/guardians, and community members, maintaining positive, solution-oriented relationships that foster a strong, inclusive environment for optimal learning.
  • Continuously seek professional growth through building and department meetings, professional development, coursework, workshops, and seminars.
  • Attend all required staff meetings, professional development sessions, school events, and other assigned responsibilities.
