About The Position

East Cooper Montessori Charter School (ECMCS) of Mount Pleasant, SC is looking to hire a full-time Instructional Assistant for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time position in a public school with retirement and full benefits. Instructional Assistants partner with the classroom teachers in every aspect of the educational experience. Montessori educators make decisions regarding curriculum, programming, organization, and communication. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator with both children and adults, organized and willing to go the extra mile for the efforts of the school's mission. Some duties will include supporting students' academic and social needs, organizing classroom activities, and overseeing recess and lunch while supporting our positive and creative environment. Established in 2003, ECMCS is a premier public Montessori school that serves 450 students from 3 years old through 8th grade. We value people and invest in them. Our system is not solely built upon allocations. Therefore, our teaching tools are regularly updated. We are located in Mt. Pleasant and on a large campus that allows gardening, sports, and an authentic Montessori hands-on learning experience. Requirements

Experience in teaching or managing students
True passion for growing students' abilities
Skilled in interpersonal relations with students, parents, teachers, staff, and the general public
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
