About The Position

Craft exceptional drinks, delivering warm, genuine service, and serving every guest with speed and precision. Assist with leading shifts. Will have the ability to perform all positions as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of bartending experience required, must have basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
  • Must have a high level of knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer. Must be able to recite vintages, regions, and multiple levels of liquor.
  • Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate. Bartending certificate/license required.
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
  • Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets, and vouchers and to communicate with guests and take orders.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnishes, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.
  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items.
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and perform point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in training and supervising bar staff for the efficient operation of the outlet.
  • Set up the bar daily, ensuring proper stocking of beer, wine, spirits, paper goods, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce, based on daily function projections.
  • Cut, prepare, and store fresh fruit garnishes, juices, and other perishables each shift to maintain peak quality.
  • Greet guests warmly, take and record drink orders, and prepare beverages to standard recipes with proper garnish and portion control.
  • Assist in the creation of drink menu, wine list, ingredients, preparation, and service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, following personal hygiene standards.
  • Accurately track all products served using the POS system and consumption documentation.
  • Balance cash bank accurately at the end of each shift.
  • Comply with all state, federal, and corporate liquor laws, including those regarding service to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Other duties as assigned.
