About The Position

At Bright Horizons, we believe early childhood education has the power to shape futures. As an Universal Pre-K 3 Teacher, you’ll support classrooms across multiple centers, creating safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environments where children can grow, learn, and thrive. You’ll help 3- and 4-year-old children build the skills and confidence they need for kindergarten and beyond.

Requirements

• Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
• At least 90 credits toward bachelor’s degree in early childhood education is required
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for 4- and 5-year-old children is required
• This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons’, and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training.
• If hired, you will work in person in an early education/preschool child care center to provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery and services per Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures and guidance, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations, and in a manner that will ensure the safety of children in Bright Horizons care and the employee.

Nice To Haves

• NYS Teaching Certification (B-2, N-6, 1-6, Special Education) or study plan eligibility is preferred
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
