UPK Lead Teacher (Leave replacement) - New Hyde Park
About The Position
This position is a head teacher leave replacement for the 2025-2026 school year. This position follows the School District Calendar and is from 8:30am - 3:00pm. The UPK Head Teacher will be responsible for managing a classroom of preschool-aged children in a UPK program. The teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans, managing the classroom environment, and ensuring that all children are meeting developmental milestones. The UPK Head Teacher will work closely with other teachers and staff to create a positive and engaging learning experience for all students as well as ensuring that the program is meeting all state and local regulations. The teacher will also be responsible for communicating with parents and guardians about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Requirements
- NYS certification required
- Classroom management skills
- Experience in early childhood education
- New York State Teaching Certification

- 1-2 years of experience preferred
