About The Position

Bradington-Young, a division of Hooker Furnishings Corporation, is seeking an Upholstery Trimmer for their Hickory, NC location. This role is responsible for finishing the outsides of upholstered furniture pieces to ensure a clean and professional appearance. The position requires attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and familiarity with upholstery tools and materials. Bradington-Young has been crafting high quality leather seating for over 30 years and operates with a family-focused culture, committed to giving back to the community.

Requirements

• Previous experience in upholstery trimmer or furniture manufacturing.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and product specifications.
• Good hand dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Trim, staple, and finish the outside portion of upholstered furniture pieces.
• Run plygrip, tackbands, and other required materials.
• Ensure tight, wrinkle-free fabric application with clean lines and edges.
• Operate basic hand tools, staple guns, and upholstery equipment safely and effectively.
• Inspect work for quality and consistency in accordance with company standards.
• Assist in other areas of the upholstery department as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
