About The Position

The Upholsterer will be responsible for stretching and securing fabric, vinyl, or other upholstery materials using hand tools and pneumatic staplers. This role involves applying foam, batting, webbing, springs, and other cushioning materials as required, and installing buttons and other decorative components to meet product specifications. The Upholsterer will also inspect furniture components for quality before and during assembly, identify and correct minor defects, and report quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor. The position requires operating hand tools, pneumatic tools, and upholstery equipment safely and efficiently, while maintaining production goals and ensuring workmanship meets company quality standards. Additionally, the Upholsterer must keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations, and follow all company policies, procedures, and workplace safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Ability to safely use hand tools, air-powered staplers, scissors, knives, and other upholstery equipment.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 40 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for gripping, pulling, stretching, and fastening upholstery materials.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, adhesives, and varying temperatures.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities
