The Upfit Technician is responsible for the consistent and quality upfit installations of truck accessories and service repairs on various truck bodies.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Experienced with vehicle mechanics, including electrical systems, hydraulics and basic fabrication techniques
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a service shop environment preferred
- PTO experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Complete consistent and quality installs of truck accessories. Including but not limited to lift gates, shelving units, toolboxes, body components and lighting systems
- Complete custom service repairs on commercial vehicles and flatbeds
- service repairs on truck bodies
- Document the cause and corrections for all repairs
- Fabricating custom mounting brackets
- Read and follow detailed work orders, installation drawings, blueprints, etc.
