Upfit Apparatus Assistant
About The Position
Poly Assistant reports to the Equipment/Poly Division of Siddons-Martin Emergency Group. The responsibility includes, but is not limited to, a dedication to the company’s mission statement, to company profitability and 100% customer satisfaction. Assist in fabricating High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) into customized and production items. This includes but is not limited to preparing the CNC table for cut runs, operating a manual router, operating a poly welder. Prep completed parts for installation or shipping. Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards. Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures and Best Practices guideline as outlined in the SMEG Loose Equipment SOG manual. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to follow directions
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
- High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
- Must be dependable.
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Should have excellent verbal communication skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Clean driving record with Class C driver license.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of firefighting tools/equipment preferred
