About The Position

The Upender’s objective is to lift the frame off the mainframe fixture with the upender machine, inspect and clean the welds on the frame, attach the proper hanging hooks to the frame and then hang the frame on the overhead paint system. This role involves documenting completed weld times, inspecting and cleaning frame welds, communicating weld defects, attaching hanging hooks, and hoisting frames onto the overhead paint system. The position also requires releasing the carrier to the loading platform and maintaining a clean, safe workstation throughout the shift. All other duties as assigned are also part of the role.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications
• Lifting to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Documents the completed weld times of each frame.
• Picks up frame with lift machine using remote control.
• Inspects and cleans the frame welds with wire brush and scraper.
• Communicates and documents any weld defects.
• Attaches proper hanging hooks to the frame that the prints display.
• Hoists and hangs the frame on the overhead paint system with upender’s remote.
• Releases the carrier to go the loading platform.
• Keep a clean, safe workstation throughout the shift.
