About The Position

Balfour Beatty is seeking an Unskilled Laborer to join our team at a state-of-the art operations facility consisting of a multi-story building that will include open office areas, collaborative multi-discipline workspace, computer labs and virtual instruction/distance learning-enable classrooms along with an accompanying parking garage. This project is design-build. The Unskilled Laborer’s activities are coordinated with the Carpenter Foreman, Project Manager and/or the Superintendent to maintain productivity of the jobsite.

Requirements

• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
• Ability to clearly speak and understand the English language.
• Must be able to write with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar.
• Must be able to read safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of truck, tools and equipment, and methods and procedures.
• Understands safety rules and tool / equipment instructions.
• This position requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security credential.
• Due to federal contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred
• on-the-job training required
• 10-hour OSHA trained preferred
• CPR/First Aid Training preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks to maintain productivity of the jobsite.
• Manual labor including but not limited to job site cleaning and maintenance
• Stocking and moving of job site material
• Works daily with brooms, wheelbarrows and small hand tools
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
