About The Position

Suncoast Center provides community mental health services since 1944, offering emotional wellness, trauma services, and child advocacy to individuals and families. This internship is for a Masters Level Social Services Clinical Student and will include hands-on experience working under the direction of Licensed Therapists over a two-semester period.

Requirements

• Committing for a 1 year is required commitment
• A minimum of 20 hours per week required over 3-5 days per week
• All background screenings (drug screening within 24 hours of acceptance, local/level II Federal, MVR, and employment verifications)
• Copy of current transcripts with acceptable GPA level
• Signed agreement with college
• Intern program guidelines from college for student
• Copy of all signed documents between school/student and Suncoast Center
• Schedule for onsite internship days/hours meeting 20 hours per week for the year
• Drug Screening, Background Check and DCF Fingerprinting will be required
• All positions require a screening through the Clearinghouse
