About The Position

MAG Aerospace is seeking an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Crew Chief for the ULTRA platform. In this position, you will be responsible for aircraft care and maintenance, as well as assisting AVOs with launch and recover and other duties as directed; as well as utilizing checklists and other standardized technical manuals. Locations can be forward located/deployed with minimum comfort access. While operating from the deployed location, all personnel are responsible to, and work directly for, the assigned Site Lead /Maintenance Manager, regardless of parent company. Crew Chiefs will support the daily flying schedule and may be responsible for more than one requirement. Personnel should expect to participate in all facets of the operation to support mission requirements.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience performing as a UAS Crew Chief on Group 3 or larger platforms
  • Must be capable of reading and understanding aircraft logbooks and technical publications, and recording all maintenance actions
  • Ability to strictly follow all procedures
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Must have a valid FAA Class 3 medical certificate (or able to meet standards /obtain)
  • Must meet minimum military health standards for worldwide deployment and unmanned aircraft flight qualifications
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must hold an active Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Recent deployed operations
  • Prior military experience
  • FAA A&P License
  • Previous experience with Rotax engines and/or Rotax training certificates
  • Maintenance experience on Group 4-5 UAS, or similar size manned aircraft
  • Ability to properly maintain and track mission critical HAZMAT items and equipment
  • Ability to create new procedures for R&D purposes and implement them into Standard Operating Procedures
  • ULTRA or LEAP AVO experience
