Centerstone is seeking an unlicensed therapist with experience treating individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. The role works with a multidisciplinary team and is primarily based in Tennessee Department of Health offices in Centerville (Hickman County), Lynchburg (Moore County), and Linden (Perry County), with regular travel throughout the assigned service area. No weekend or on-call work is required. The therapist builds therapeutic relationships, conducts diagnostic assessments and risk assessments as needed, provides assessment and individual—and possibly family—therapy for people with substance use issues, and develops and revises treatment plans. The role uses evidence-based interventions, completes documentation within required timeframes, responds to supervisory requests for urgent care and caseload coverage, and keeps the administrative supervisor informed about issues that could affect the program or organization. The position requires a master’s degree in a specified behavioral health discipline, or a related master’s degree with qualifying graduate coursework and relevant clinical coursework and experience. Clinical experience may be gained through a practicum or internship completed as part of a master’s program.
