About The Position

We're looking for a Unix Support Specialist to support the daily operations of an autonomous vehicle fleet. This role combines technical troubleshooting, real-time support, and hands-on operational work to help keep cutting-edge autonomous vehicles running safely and efficiently. If you're comfortable working with Unix/Linux command line, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with operations and engineering teams, we'd love to meet you.

Requirements

At least 1 year of technical support, IT support, help desk, operations support, or related experience
Comfortable using Unix/Linux command line on a daily basis
Experience with commands such as: cd, ls, cp, rm, cat, vim, scp, uptime, journalctl
Experience using Slack
Experience with ticketing systems such as: Jira, YouTrack, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Similar platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong documentation skills
High attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Valid U.S. driver's license held for at least 3 years
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working around vehicles and technology

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for technical issues from vehicle operators and safety drivers.
Troubleshoot, document, and escalate technical issues to engineering teams.
Use Unix/Linux command-line tools to review logs and assist with diagnostics.
Monitor fleet readiness, charging status, and operational health.
Perform vehicle startup and shutdown procedures.
Support vehicle dispatch and return operations.
Conduct basic hardware checks including cable connections and onboard equipment.
Move vehicles around the facility when needed.
Maintain accurate documentation in ticketing systems.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve issues quickly.
