About The Position
The University Supervisor supports candidates enrolled in a one-year supervised residency by providing ongoing clinical supervision and evaluation. Supervisors travel to partner school districts where candidates are completing their residencies and conduct a minimum of three formal observations per semester. Each observation cycle includes a pre-conference to review lesson planning and instructional goals, a formal classroom observation, and a post-conference focused on feedback, reflection, and professional growth. This position is a semester-to-semester appointment and requires collaboration with mentor teachers and program faculty to ensure candidate success and alignment with program expectations.
Requirements
- Valid Arkansas teaching license
- Minimum of three years of P–12 teaching experience
- Completion of Cognitive Coaching training
- Completion of TESS (Teacher Excellence and Support System) training
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
