The company provides full-service security solutions for homes and businesses, including security officer services, smart home automation, burglar and fire alarms, access control, security cameras, alarm monitoring, investigative services, and background checks. Per Mar Security is hiring for full-time University Campus Security Officer. Schedule is 2nd shift hours, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, Wednesday - Sunday. 40 hours-per-week at $18.00/hr.

Requirements

18 years of age or older.
Pass a pre-employment background investigation and drug screen.
A valid drivers license and driving record that meets company policy.
Possess an IL PERC license, or meet state requirements to obtain one.
Ability to handle physical duties of the position.
Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Monitor campus to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
Respond to calls for service by students and staff.
Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
Address issues regarding suspicious or criminal acts.
Report any facility issues to the appropriate department.
Request emergency personnel for high risk situations.
Other duties as assigned by site supervisor.
