About The Position
Patrols the campus and other assigned areas to enforce laws, rules and regulations for the protection and security of personnel and property, and to detect and prevent attempts by persons to violate the law; conducts investigations of violations, prepares reports and takes appropriate action; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One (1) year of progressively responsible work experience in the enforcement of security laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the protection of personnel and property.
- Possess a current, valid State of Hawaii Security Guard License at the time of appointment.
- Possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
- Obtain valid First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates or equivalent within six (6) months from the date of employment.
- Satisfy employment eligibility verification requirements of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
- Pass reference checks of previous employers.
- Pass a thorough investigation of an applicant's suitability for employment before being hired.
