About The Position

Penn State University Libraries’ Public Relations and Marketing Office is seeking an outgoing, collaborative, creative student with excellent communication skills to work with the department team to promote the University Libraries’ resources, services, events, employees, and friends in social media and marketing communications contexts. The successful candidate, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, will demonstrate a sincere commitment to work independently under deadlines with remote supervision. This candidate will serve as a part-time Public Relations and Marketing communications and social media intern with primary responsibility for the creation and publication of frequent and regular social media and other storytelling content in support of Libraries initiatives and strategic goals. The intern’s written and visual content also will illustrate to students what makes the Libraries a unified set of distinctive locations with first-rate resources and services for academic and research purposes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Sincere commitment to work independently under deadlines with remote supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating high-quality original images and videos is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
