About The Position
Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a motivated University Admissions Counselor to oversee the Minneapolis, MN territory. This is a unique work-from-home opportunity based in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves supporting community college students in their decision to pursue a quality education at Grand Canyon University's campus in Phoenix, AZ. The counselor will guide students through the admissions process and assist them in their transition to campus life. GCE is a growing educational service company that provides support to the post-secondary education sector and works closely with Grand Canyon University.
Requirements
- Must live in or near Minneapolis, MN.
- Bachelor's degree.
- No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in credit report.
- Outstanding time management and organization skills.
- Clear communication and engaging presentation skills.
- Well-developed listening skills.
- Self-motivation and drive to succeed.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to demonstrate empathy.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to use personal vehicle for work.
- Some events require evening and/or weekend availability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities
- Host and implement event/activity plans for the territory to build awareness of academic programs and drive inquiry generation.
- Provide exceptional counseling to prospective students and their families through various mediums (in-person, phone, email, text, Zoom).
- Champion the GCE mission and promote Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
- Connect with community college students, faculty, and staff, and engage stakeholders in the territory.
- Maintain a full schedule including fairs, school visits, presentations, community/campus events, and hosting campus visits.
- Support prospective Grand Canyon University campus students and families through the admissions process.
- Guide students towards a successful campus experience.
- Travel to Phoenix, AZ 1-3 times per month for events and training.
