About The Position

The Universal Technician position is to perform all services included but not limited to recurring services, initial services, service calls and any other service-related tickets for all departments of service. This includes all residential and commercial services. The day-to-day services will vary and can change throughout the day as needed. Duties may include: Be flexible in day to day operations. Not limited to one service department within the branch daily Provide customers with respectful, professional, and friendly assistance with their pest control needs. Identify pest problems and identify solutions to those problems Provide timely and effective pest detection, elimination and prevention solutions on a preset daily route Complete the application of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides on a preset daily route Computing basic math problems The use of a variety of hand tools Evaluate and identify conducive conditions and provide detailed reports Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers, both internal and external Use of handheld computerized equipment to manage service calls and documents Provide customers with general information about our various services Conduct service calls as needed Problem solving and/or complaint resolution Performs other duties as assigned Perform services inside attics and crawl spaces as needed Operate and maintain company vehicle in a safe and respectful manner. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
No experience required, training will be provided
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to work independently, manage route-based work, and provide exceptional customer service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
High School diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

Enjoy working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Not have a fear of bugs, snakes, rodents, etc.
Be able to withstand long periods of squatting, standing and walking; including the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
Be able to carry a 50lb pack on their back
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes an OSHA compliant respirator in some cases.
Safe use of portable ladders within the manufacturer's specifications and OSHA regulations
Have excellent listening and communication skills
Be competent with the use of new technology
Be organized and able to manage their own daily route
