About The Position
Universal Pre-K (UPK) Teacher at Our Children's Place in Ontario County, NY. This role involves inspiring young minds and building bright futures by helping young children learn, grow, and thrive. Our Children's Place has been making a difference in the lives of children and families for 53 years and offers a supportive workplace that values collaboration, professional growth, and the important work of its employees. The position is a school-year role following the Midlakes Central School District Calendar, with Mondays-Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and includes school holidays, recesses, and breaks off.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field required
- Must be willing to pursue New York State Early Childhood Teaching Certification if not already certified
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Passion for creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate UPK curriculum aligned with New York State standards
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Assess student progress and maintain required documentation
- Collaborate with staff to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed
