About The Position

The Universal Banker position involves completing client transactions efficiently and accurately while maintaining proper money handling. This role requires delivering superior client service, identifying client financial needs, and supporting sales and service activities, including outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM). The position is a regular, full-time role with a 1st shift work schedule and requires English fluency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller, cash handling, or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours, with occasional travel and overnights potentially included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management, and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, facilitating courteous conversation, conducting complex and standardized transactions, and uncovering client needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions like ATMs, Online, and Mobile banking.
  • Support the team sales process through outbound calls, checking for client offers, identifying needs or opportunities, and referring clients to appropriate specialists.
  • Understand and apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles to deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
  • Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge by attending meetings and training classes.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of changes.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
  • Handle a proportionate volume of work based on branch demands.
