About The Position

The Universal Banker PT/20HR position is a regular, full-time role requiring English fluency and involves working the 1st shift. This role focuses on providing excellent client service through efficient transaction completion, identifying client needs, and supporting sales activities. The position involves cross-training for sales and service, with a specific emphasis on outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The goal is to deliver a distinctive client experience, educate clients on digital banking solutions, and support the team's sales process by engaging in client outreach and identifying opportunities. Understanding IRM is crucial for seamlessly delivering expertise and solutions to clients. The role requires active participation in leadership routines, continuous learning of products and services, adherence to internal controls and policies, and serving as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting transactions, and uncovering needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions (ATMs, Online, Mobile banking).
  • Support the team sales process through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying needs or opportunities.
  • Understand and apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles.
  • Participate in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge through meetings and training.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
  • Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.
  • Offer applicable products and services to clients and prospects.
  • Handle proportionate volume of work based on branch demands.
